The
Jung Financial Group Ltd. is a financial services company that provides fee-only
financial services based on the individual needs of each client. We serve
individuals, families and companies from a broad economic base.
We
offer five separate financial services – tax
planning and preparation, investment management, small business accounting,
business consulting and family advice. We do not
sell any products or services under a commission arrangement. We are not
associated with any other firm except as described by contract. Any compensation
received by our firm will be fully disclosed to each client.
One
of our primary services is investment management.
This service accepts funds from individuals, qualified pension plans and
businesses for investment. These funds shall be invested in a non-discretionary
portfolio mix based on the clients’ risk tolerance and investment goals.
The annual fee charged for this service shall be 1.25% of the first $1,000,000
under management; 1.00% for accounts over $1,000,000; .90% for accounts over
$2,000,000 and .80% for accounts over $3,000,000. If the account exceeds
$4,000,000, the fee will decrease 5 basis points (.05) for each additional
$1,000,000 to a minimum of .50%. All management fees, brokerage fees and
other miscellaneous costs of trading activity shall be the responsibility
of the client.
The
Jung Financial Group Ltd. has offices in Honolulu and on the Big Island of
Hawaii. Gary Jung heads the office on the island of Hawaii where all records
pertaining to investment management are maintained. Another of our
primary services is tax
planning and preparation.
We prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, limited
liability companies and fiduciaries. We represent clients with tax problems
before the Internal Revenue Service and state tax agencies including audits,
appeals, negotiating payment plans and offers in compromise. Tax planning
is offered in business formation and dissolution, real estate transactions,
pension distributions and other specific tax questions.
Small
business accounting is another service offered by our
company. We offer general business accounting on a cash or accrual basis.
The company produces timely financial statements and management reports
and assists clients in the interpetation of financial information. Payroll
services include direct deposit of paychecks, automatic payment of Federal
and State payroll taxes, payroll tax preparation and employee benefit reporting.
The Jung Financial Group is skilled in the design and implementation of
computerized accounting systems that are tailored to clients’ needs. We are licensed
Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors.
We
also offer business consulting for our
business clients. We have over 22 years of experience advising clients on
accounting, taxes, start-up concerns and general business advice makes us
uniquely qualified to assist business owners with problem solving. ESOP’s
(Employee Stock Ownership Plans) are a particular area of expertise.
Our
business began with family advice. We have
been advising individuals and families on financial matters for more than
22 years. Both principals are CFP’s and have extensive experience in
assisting clients achieve their financial goals. We offer advice in financial
planning, estate planning, tax planning, insurance issues, investments, retirement
and college planning.
Gary
Jung, CFP (Certified Financial Planner) was born
in 1939 and is the firm’s President and investment advisor. Mr Jung has 4.2 years of
college and has been in the financial services business for more than 22
years. He is listed in the Western Edition of "Who`s Who In America".
A featured speaker, author and regular guest on many local radio and television
shows, he formerly hosted a weekly, live radio show on KGU called "Money
Talks". He has served two terms as president of the Hawaii Chapter
of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP), and has
been a three-time selection as the organization’s Outstanding Member
of the Year.
Jung
has a long history of community service. He has served on various committees,
boards and commissions throughout the state. These organizations include:
The National Federation of Independent Business, various Mayor’s select
committees and the Hemophillia Foundation of Hawaii. He has been the president
of his community association and served as the vice-president of the University
of Hawaii at Hilo’s athletic board.
Michael
Moore, CFP, EA (Enrolled Agent) was born in 1959 and
is the Vice-President of the company. Mr. Moore holds a degree in accounting
and economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is
an Enrolled Agent authorized to represent clients before the IRS, has been
admitted to the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners and is a graduate
of the National Tax Practice Institute.
He
is past president of the Hawaii Chapter of the IAFP, served on its Board
for five years and represented the chapter at national leadership conferences
and regional council meetings. He was twice voted Outstanding Member of the
Year. As a Director of the Hawaii Society of Enrolled Agents, Moore served
as the liason between the HSEA and the Internal Revenue Service as well as
the Hawaii State Department of Taxation. He
currently serves on the Board of Directors and the finance committee of
the Hemophilia Foundation of Hawaii and on the Board of International Advisors
of Business Network International.
